Required Annual Membership: In order to register for Summer Camp, your child will also need to have a Summer Camp Annual Membership. Please add the membership to your cart prior to registering for the CIT Leadership Program. You can process checkout once with both items (Camp & Membership) together.
Before registering, make sure to have your immunization dates ready to write down on the medical form during registration.
Program Description
The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Leadership Program is designed for motivated 15-year-olds who are ready to take the next step from camper to leader. This structured program provides hands-on experience in youth mentorship, activity leadership, teamwork, and professional responsibility within a supervised camp environment.
CITs work alongside camp counselors asssiting with daily programming, supporting camper engagement, and learning the foundations of child supervision and group management. Throughout the summer, participants take part in leadership workshops, mentorship sessions, and responsibility opportunities designed to build confidence and workplace readiness.
This program serves as a leadership pipeline for future employment opportunities within New Windsor Summer Camp.
